Ellis Keenan won the 36 hole Bridget Jackson Bowl with rounds of 68 and 70. The seventeen year old, who turns 18 on Sunday, carded birdie 2’s on two holes, the 124 yard par 3 sixth and the 154 yard par 3 11th. A feat she managed in both rounds.

The Surry girls champion and Hampshire Rose winner from Sunningdale Golf Club, was in excellent form and emerged the winner with a 6 shot margin.
There was a tie for second place between Lincolnshire champion Holly Clyburn of Woodhall Spa and Tilly Holder of Woburn Golf Club. Both recorded two rounds of 72 and Holly took the runners up prize on a second prize back nine countback.
The 2008 competition was the 27th time the competition for lady amateurs had been held at Handsworth Golf Club and founder Bridget Jackson said this year was another great success.
There was some great golf played by the ladies and especially by Ellis. We had a few ladies withdraw but there was still a strong field of 44 players and they all seemed to enjoy the occasion.
